Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)

Coronary disease is the most widespread form of ailment affecting the heart ; most premature deaths across the world are a result of this disease. Failure of coronary circulation to supply adequate blood to cardiac muscle and surrounding tissue is the key cause. The inside of the blood vessels get blocked with the build-up of fleshy material; angina, shortness of breath, and heart attack may occur as per the intensity or severity of the obstruction. Doctors recommend coronary artery Bypass Surgery (CABG) as a treatment to such a disease.

In the process the angina is relieved; arteries or veins from another area in the patient’s body are connected to the coronary arteries to bypass atherosclerotic contraction. This helps in improved blood supply around the blockage to the heart muscle. During one CABG, up to four major blocked coronary arteries can be bypassed. The functioning of the heart is usually stopped during the surgery; to facilitate temporary heart function, cardiopulmonary bypass technique is used. There are also techniques available to perform bypass surgery on a beating heart.

The risks involved in CABG are same as any other surgery. Repeat bypass surgery may be required if connected arteries become obstructed, or if new blockages occur.

Most hospitals in India fall under the category of a general hospital.

Apollo Hospital is the leading hospital brand preferred by millions of satisfied patients. The treatment is no doubt a bit expensive compared to other hospitals in India but you get complete cure if you get treated here at the right time.

It has more than 46 hospitals across the country and the Asian region and the total number of beds exceeds the 8065 figure. Snippets about Kidney Transplant

A Kidney Transplant is a surgical process to place a healthy kidney into a patient with kidney failure. The occurrence rate of these surgeries is not rare and a kidney transplant is only second to corneal transplant-the most widespread transplant operation that has taken place till date in the history of medical science. There are over 9,000 kidney transplants carried out every year.

Of the three treatment forms to treat a failed kidney, a transplant ensures better wellbeing and quality of life. In making a determination regarding whether this is the best treatment, you must connect the right doctors and also consult people who previously have experienced a kidney transplant. A thorough counseling is also required before you decide to go for a kidney transplant.

Though, it is not a full proof method and does not guarantee complete success, a kidney transplant still rules over other methods for the patients only in anticipation of a healthier life!

Corrective Treatment of the Eyes

Life becomes colorful when you actually see it; taking care of your eyes and undergoing corrective treatments if necessary will always keep your milieu colorful! Lasik surgery, meaning laser-assisted surgery, is one of the widely used refractive surgeries for the treatment of the eyes, especially hyperopia, myopia, and astigmatism. During the lasik surgery treatment, the cornea is reshaped to facilitate clear vision. Lasik surgery treatment is more preferred than other modes of eye treatment due to the less time required for the patient’s recovery as well as less pain during the treatment and post treatment. One may get rid of using eye glasses and contact lenses by going for the lasik surgery treatment, also termed laser eye surgery.

Myopia treatment or short sightedness treatment has witnessed a transformation with the introduction of the laser eye surgery. The hassles of removing and inserting your contact lenses and keeping them in a hygienic manner or going to your eye doctor after every specified period to change the power of your eye glasses seem a hectic, time-consuming, and hassle-full affair. If you are undergoing myopia treatment or shortsightedness treatment opt for the laser eye surgery to get rid of your eye problems forever.
